The Metro Atlanta Task Force for the Homeless and the Peachtree-Pine Homeless Shelter are asking for everyone to come out this Thursday at 1:00 PM to show their support for Atlanta’s homeless. The new owner of the building at Peachtree and Pine has threatened foreclosure though the directors of the facility are currently in the midst of a lawsuit against the city of Atlanta for purposefully impeding their work and funding. Directors of the facility Jim and Anita Beaty are holding a press conference on Thursday to inform the public and media about what the city is really doing to its homeless population.

“What you do for the least of these, you do for me…”, “…and I give you a new commandment, to love one another as I have loved you.” If we are to take our vows and responsibilities of baptism seriously, then we are all called to help those who cannot help themselves. Please come out this Thursday and see for yourself the real faces of Christ. God’s Peace.
Parking is available in a pay lot ($2.00) next to the shelter at Peachtree St. and Pine St.
